Thinking Ahead to Halloween

posted Oct 8, 2013, 6:33 AM by Unknown user   [ updated Oct 8, 2013, 6:33 AM ]
On Halloween day there will be a simple party in the Preschool, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade classrooms before students go to the Rectory and Community Center to Trick or Treat.

Costume Rules:
Simple costumes are allowed only for Preschool, Kindergarten, and Grades 1 and 2. Students from Grades 3 and above will not be allowed to dress up. As a parent/guardian, you may choose whether or not your child (Preschool - Grade 2) wears a costume. Costumes should be brought, not worn, to school on Halloween. Please ensure that the costume is large enough to fit over your child's clothing.

Masks, weapons (such as plastic swords or guns), wigs, high heels, and makeup are not allowed. We also kindly request that you not send your child dressed as an evil character (such as a devil) as this is not consistent with the values of our school.

You may choose to send candy treats to school with your child by Monday, October 28th. All candy must be store-wrapped and sealed. Please make sure there is enough candy for each student in the class.

Please do not send gum. Students are not allowed to have gum in school.
